a staple decoration in our house.

For the Sweet Sixteen dance we imagined bunting hanging from the trees.

In one evening (once again with a few friends) we sewed together

many yards of bunting.

It definitely brought an old fashioned feel to the dance.

This Summer I had the honor of working with a group of sweet older sister

in putting together a dance to bless our younger sisters.

We wanted this to be a memorable evening of dancing with a whimsical air.

The invitations were no exception.

We completed around one-hundred invitations in a few hours,

our talking of course did not slow the work down one bit.

The picture was drawn by my very talented older sister.

And for you enjoyment a peak at the dance itself...

I like to believe that I live in a "small town", now I know it's not

completely true, but I still like to believe it.

Now if this were the Canyon County Fair... maybe. But we didn't go to that one.

No ours was the Western Idaho Fair. Large, loud, exciting... well, somewhat...

Really if I had wanted to drop that two bits to see the largest pig, I could have,

but listening to the announcer calling out the size was much more entertaining.

It was a wonderful day, being with family and enjoying the fellowship.

But as you can see by the face above, it was a bit overwhelming for the

young ones, that is a small smile you see.

But, dear me, those animals were fun to see and touch.

Oh, were those horns fun to grab.

This picture took forever to get- he is not a poser, this was him checking to see if I was still had my camera out.

Lemonade- the choice drink for the day

The only band we sat to listen to, it was us and four other older couples... I think they thought Idaho had a lack of country music lovers... I just thought it was funny that they were from California- Really Idaho has no country bands?

I can't think of a better way to spend and afternoon then on the outside seating of

a restaurant with a good friend after a photo shoot.

I'm just going to let you view the pictures and not try to capture the afternoon in words.

I'll just say that we filled the time with good conversation and enjoyed the view.

Senior Shoot | 2011

I had the honor of taking the pictures of this young man. He is a farmer, musician, and could easily be a future law student.

His family owns a beautiful farm and you can tell how hard they work to keep it so.

I enjoyed going to his senior recital, his love of music shows through his playing.

It was a wonderful night that glorified God in every way.

This young man has great potential, I look forward to seeing

how God will use him.

Welcome to the world of this amazing family. With four young ones this family is full of energy. Lucky they were, our plans had been to shoot in downtown Boise, easy right? Wrong... The morning of the shoot I decided to check the schedule in Boise and guess what, there was a parade... right along the main street and to top that off the farmers market was also happening. We hurried out there and got some excellent parking, but on the wrong side of the parade. Our hope had been to shoot down "freak alley" on the other side of town (entitled as such because of the graffiti on along the walls [View Here]). We quickly vetoed that plan and headed for an old church building. After all that I think the shoot was a success. Of course the subjects of the pictures helped that. Enjoy!

Karli is our wonderful "adopted" older sister, and she asked if we

would capture pictures of her sweet family for future memories...

These little girls are beautiful and love each other so much.

We could hardly separate them to get their portraits alone.

Of Autumn Colors and Long Walks...

So last week my sweet sister, a dear friend (we

have adopted as a sister) and I went to a photo class...

We walked and oohed and ahhed all the way up the path...

Our cameras clicked and we captured...

We journeyed from fairy thrones...

To Elven glades...

... and onto enchanted forests...

(which are really just dying ones... but that doesn't sound as fun:)

We journeyed across the bridge and met no trolls thank you very much...

And we enjoyed every breathtaking minute of it....

The middle picture is of us laughing...really!

Why a regular Kircher Girls photo shoot!

It was a short but sweet time, we enjoyed walking around the small booths
and talking with the sellers....

This gentleman kindly posed next to his wares and sign...

...then he offered me a choice of any of his delicious baked goods ...

I chose the jelly roll (having never tried one. Oh, I know how could I have never had a jelly roll!) and my was it delicious. If you are anywhere near Nampa during the farmers market I would suggest stopping by for a treat!

Oh, yes... more brick walls!

This is my beautiful sister Elise!!! This being her first time in a photo shoot with us she was a bit worried that she didn't know the ropes, but I think she did just fine. Don't you!
It was so fun to have her join us... Mom was there as well but silly me I forgot my tripod...
I was sad we didn't get a group picture but I think she was more then happy to be an onlooker.

We are enjoying some fall weather, it's a little bit confused here but that's what we are used to. It keeps us on our toes!

It was a located in a beautiful garden setting, with a stunning

farmhouse...

I was able to enjoy a private time with my friend taking pictures

of the bride and her bridesmaids....

She loves anything pink, dancing, and making everyone around her feel special.

She twirls to the table, pirouettes to her room, and pointes as she tells you a story.

But to top that all off these boys are some of the best buds you will ever meet...

Thought: I wanted (at first) to capture the camera along with the bag it came in and all of it's lens covers but felt like it was too busy. I then decided to capture the camera lens in a setting that would be exposed enough to have all the details show up in black and white setting making it look more antiqued.

Assignment: "a moment in the day..."

Story: After cleaning and baking all morning I thought (since school was seeming rather dismal after all the fun) that I would make some tea to warm me up to the idea of beginning my math. The sun was streaming into our dining room from the bay windows and the cup couldn't just be used for it's normal use. (I mean what's a camera for if not to capture a moment of simplicity with creativity) No one else was home and the quiet day just seemed to fit this picture.

Purpose: To capture the peace of the moment.
